Join us at Yonge Dundas Square on Thursday, May 21 for Walk A Mile In Her Shoes Toronto.
Here’s how you can take part in Walk A Mile In Her Shoes
1 – Sign up an as Individual or a Team.
We encourage you to create a team and invite your colleagues, friends and family to join you at Walk A Mile. Individual participants are welcome but it’s much more fun to participate as a team.
2 – Fundraise.
Walk A Mile In Her Shoes Toronto aims to raise $200,000 to support White Ribbon in its work to end violence against women, and promote gender equity, healthy relationships and a new vision of masculinity. We need your help to reach this goal.
There is no Fundraising Minimum required to participate but if you raise $1,000 or more, we will provide you with your very own signature pair of Walk A Mile red pumps!
3 – Join us on May 21st,
Walk a mile and show your support for ending violence against women.
Although we encourage men to wear high-heels at Walk A Mile, heels are not mandatory. We welcome men and women to participate in whatever shoes they choose.
If you want to walk in heels, and aren’t sure where to find a pair, please contact us and we can help you out.
Why We Walk
“I am pleased to take part in this annual event and stand alongside
other men – and women- in our community to support and draw
attention to the issue of gender based violence. . I will be
representing the Downtown Yonge BIA, donning a pair of high heels
and walking a mile in her shoes to do just that.
Walk with us from the heart of our neighbourhood at Yonge-Dundas
Square on May 21, 2015 at 12:45pm and help raise this year’s goal of
$200,000 to end violence against women.”
